Discover Ghana
Ghana offers a vibrant blend of culture, history, and coastal beauty. Explore iconic sites such as the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, lively Makola Market, and the popular beaches of Labadi and Kokrobite, known for golden sands and energetic nightlife.
Arrival & Airport Pickup
Once your placement is confirmed, book your flight to Kotoka International Airport (Accra). Our local team will meet you upon arrival and transfer you to your volunteer house or host family accommodation.
Orientation
Your orientation takes place the following day and includes an introduction to the project, expectations, safety guidelines, and a tour of the local community. This helps you settle in and prepare for your volunteer work.
Types of Volunteer Projects
Healthcare Support
Medical volunteers assist local clinics and hospitals with basic tasks and community health outreach. Volunteers interested in HIV/AIDS awareness and support are also highly needed.
Community Sanitation
Join initiatives aimed at improving hygiene and sanitation—such as clearing wells, building drying racks, digging latrines, and educating communities about healthy living practices.
Building & Construction
Support ongoing construction of schools, community centers, and water projects. No experience is required, although skilled volunteers are highly valued. Expect hands-on work, teamwork, and lots of community interaction.
Volunteer Accommodation
Volunteers stay in a shared volunteer house or a homestay hosted by our coordinating team.

Most project sites are 10–30 minutes away. We recommend bringing a sleeping mat and sleeping bag for weekend trips. Shared lounge areas are available for relaxation.
Age Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Volunteers 16+ are accepted when part of a supervised group
- Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- No upper age limit — just a reasonable level of fitness
Families are welcome to join
Visa Information
Most travelers require a visa before entering Ghana. Some nationalities may obtain visas on arrival if certain conditions are met. Please check current requirements before travel.
Weekends & Free Time
During evenings and weekends, volunteers are free to explore Ghana’s markets, beaches, museums, and nightlife. We also organize city tours and weekend excursions for those who want to see more of the country.
