Do you need to have experience?
If you are determined to make a difference by lending a hand to people in developing countries, you are already half way there. Some of our projects require certain qualifications and experience, but we also have many projects that require only a helping hand. Students, who are currently studying, and those that have recently completed their studies can take advantage of our wide range of internships in developing countries where you can share your knowledge and experience. As a volunteer you will not only lend a helping hand, but enjoy a fantastic, once in a life time experience, that will enable you to establish friendships and relationships with people from all over the world. Not to mention providing you with a platform to add incredible value to your CV.

Safety and Support
The Maasai Land Explorer partner organizations in every country have arranged for a project coordinator that is available 24 hours a day to assist and answer all your questions. As a volunteer you are required not only to give your time to helping developing countries, but also your commitment and dedication to the programme and activities that you have signed up for. You can rest assured knowing that we do everything possible to ensure that our partner organizations live up to their responsibilities. Before you travel as a volunteer, you will receive an information pack with all the necessary information. We will arrange for transport from the airport on your arrival, our project coordinator will show you where you will live and provide you with all the necessary information regarding the project.

Make the most of your experience
One of the advantages of being a volunteer is that you will meet people from all over the world and have the opportunity to establish lifelong friendships. Many volunteers speak with great joy about the local people they lived and worked with during their stay and the relationships that they established and still maintain. We are aware that this is one of the real advantages of volunteer work and strongly encourage all our volunteers to make the most of this unique possibility to develop these cross cultural relationships.
Besides the satisfaction and experience of helping a developing country, most volunteers enjoy taking the time to visit the local attractions. From our experience we have learnt that everyone needs a break. Therefore, we encourage our volunteers to go sightseeing when possible. All you have to do is let us know what you would like to see or do and we will do our best to make it possible.

24 Hour Support
We are aware that before you go out as a volunteer, you will probably have a lot of questions you would like answered within a short period of time. This is something that we fully understand. It is for these reasons that we have arranged that when you contact us for the first time, you will be appointed a contact person who will guide you and give you the advice that you need. We guarantee that you will receive responses to your questions within 24 hours or less when you inquire at any point during the week. Do not hesitate to ask any question as questions are welcome. We are here to make sure you feel as prepared as possible before you go out.

Our Prices and Donations
The Maasai Land Explorer has very close working relationships with the projects we offer, unfortunately there are many organizations that offer volunteer work at extremely high prices without paying donations to the projects. The Maasai Land Explorer has chosen to work only with projects that require a donation. As a result for every volunteer we send out, a donation is sent directly to the project.
